Simply Singin' Jesus...

A Large part of this family's ministry involves their Dad's music.  Wherever you will find them ministering, you will find Mark with a guitar in his hand.  Whether that be sitting around a fire in a homeless group's campsite or in front of an audience of hundreds...  And whether it be leading a small group of outcasts in "Amazing Grace", and telling them the story of salvation through a simple song, or performing and encouraging a church full of seasoned Christians in their walk with the Lord, every song is going to uplift Jesus!

That's just the way it is.

Mark is often asked to describe his music ministry.  At first he says that he is a simple man and a singer of simple songs for Jesus.

"I try to write my songs about life experiences and about my love for the Lord, and about all the things He has done for me."

You will often find him wearing a T-shirt and Jeans.  He tells people that his favorite T-shirt is one that says:  "I am the Wretch the Song Refers to."

Mark knows and understands the grace and mercy of God.   "God took a broken messed up man, saved him by His blood and continues to mold and break him into who He wants him to be.. that's me."  Mark says.

"I sing about this wonderful grace. I sing about the home in Heaven being prepared for us right now. I sing about the simplicity of living the Christian life.  My lyrics are just simple stories about meeting our wonderful Savior face to face!"

He continues...

"I also try to have fun!

Being a Christian has its ups and downs, but it sure is an adventure!  There are times when we experience broken hearts, and walk through some deep valleys - life is like that for everyone - but there are wonderful times when being a Christian is a blast too!  What an amazing adventure!"

Winning Souls

“Getting people saved, that is the main reason I do concerts.” says Mark.  “That and encouraging broken hearted, battle worn Christians."

Perfectly at home in front of a large audience, Mark is just as comfortable in a small house concert or little country church service.  “We go where God opens the doors.” He continues.

He has ministered in churches of almost every denomination from Catholic to Southern Baptist and most in-between.

In "Concert"  Kansas City - 2007

“Time is short. We’ve got to set our differences aside and concentrate on the common thread that binds us together - The blood of Christ and the fact that He died for our sins, rose physically from the grave to conquer sin and death and is coming back to take us home!  The harvest is ready and there are many souls to win!”

Mark is available for concerts or speaking engagements.  If you would like to have him come for your next retreat,  special event, or maybe for a concert in your church, contact his ministry office at the email address below.

No venue or event is too large or too small.   We really enjoy HOUSE CONCERTS!

My Lord and I
© 2006 M. Steven Smith

We laugh together when my heart is glad
We cry together when I'm sad
We share memories of long ago
Of good times and bad
I met Him on a summer's day
and afternoon in July
We've been walking hand in hand since then
My Lord and I

verse 2

There came a time in this walk of life
when I'd lost my way
I fell so hard I nearly lost my mind
what a price to pay
I thought I'd lost the call to serve my Savior
I felt the two of us were through
But in my darkest hour, He stood beside me
Faithful and true

verse 3

There's one more chapter I can't wait to tell you
About my Lord and I
He promised me He's gonna build a mansion
Way up in the sky
He'll introduce me to His loving Father
The one who makes all things new
What a reunion, one big happy family
Will you be there too?

Chorus

My Lord and I
My Lord and I
One day we'll see each other
Face to face
My Lord and I
