| No one gets out of this world
alive. Everyone of us will die sooner or later. The
question that many people ask is," what then?" Where will you
spend eternity when you die? The Bible teaches us that there are
only two places - either you will spend eternity in Heaven with God, or
you will spend eternity in Hell separated from Him. Believe it or
not, the choice is yours! The Bible further teaches that everyone of us is a sinner. Romans 3:23 says that ALL have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. ALL. EVERYONE. There is NO ONE, not one who is free from sin except for the Lord Jesus Christ. God's Word also teaches us that the wages or the penalty for this sin is death. Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So we all are sinners, and we all deserve death and eternity in hell. BUT, the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus! Now THAT is wonderful news! Jesus died in our place, took the penalty for our sin upon Himself. So, how do we get this eternal life? Do we have to do anything to earn it? No. Like we just read, it is a GIFT! In Ephesians it tells us that we are saved through GRACE. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Eph 2:8 & 9. God wants to give us this free gift of eternal life. But it is up to us to take or receive it. How do we receive it? Well, we must believe and confess it with our mouth. Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you are lonely, looking for meaning in life, wanting assurance that you will live forever in Heaven with the Lord when you die, then admit to God that you are a sinner, and ask God to forgive you of your sins. Believe in your heart that Jesus died in your place, thank Him for taking your place and ask him to come and live in your heart. Maybe you are sitting there in front of your computer right now and you have never asked the Lord to come into your heart. You might even be wondering how you got here to this page on the internet. But you know that you need to ask Jesus into your heart. My friend, I would ask you to pray thefollowing prayer.
If you prayed that prayer, and you meant it, this is just the beginning. You ARE saved! God cannot lie and He tells us in His Word, the Bible that you are saved. Should you die tonight, you WILL be in Heaven with the Lord Jesus. But now, you will want to find a church. You will want to grow in your new life and make new Christian friends.
